Humanoids: The Architects of European Sci-Fi

Founded in Paris in 1974 as Les Humanoïdes Associés, Humanoids permanently altered the trajectory of graphic fiction. By launching the legendary Métal Hurlant (later adapted as Heavy Metal in the US), the publisher stripped away traditional comic book conventions to pioneer a mature, unapologetic era of European speculative fiction, cyberpunk, and dark fantasy.

The Definitive Sci-Fi Archive
Humanoids operates as the structural home for some of the medium’s most visionary architects, including Alejandro Jodorowsky, Moebius, Fred Beltran, and Zoran Janjetov. Their catalog houses the foundational pillars of the "Jodoverse," a sprawling, hyper-detailed sci-fi mythology spanning masterpieces like The Incal, The Metabarons, The Technopriests, and Megalex.

The Physical Canvas
The intricate world-building and dense, boundary-pushing artwork of the Humanoids catalog demand an uncompromising physical format. Our Humanoids intake focuses exclusively on premium, high-density archival editions—oversized hardcovers, deluxe slipcases, and definitive compendiums. These high-spec formats provide the massive physical space and raw ink fidelity required for these European masterworks to breathe.
