Deluxe & Slipcased
Premium, expanded-format hardcovers and custom-housed editions engineered for the discerning shelf.
This collection brings together two of the most sought-after physical formats in modern graphic literature: oversized Deluxe Hardcovers and custom Slipcased Editions. Built with heavy paper stock, sewn lay-flat bindings, and expanded trim sizes, these volumes elevate iconic story arcs into true centerpiece objects.
Understanding the Format Distinction
While often grouped together, "Deluxe" and "Slipcased" refer to two distinct production standards:
- Deluxe Editions: Feature enlarged page dimensions (typically 7" times 10.5'' or 8" times 12''), upgraded cloth or foil-stamped covers, and extensive bonus script/art galleries. Note: A Deluxe Edition is a standalone hardcover volume and does not automatically include an outer slipcase box unless explicitly noted.
- Slipcased Editions: Enclose the hardcover volume inside a rigid, protective outer board box (such as Frank Miller’s Sin City Deluxe or The Complete Klaus). The slipcase provides an extra layer of structural shielding against ambient light, dust, and shelf wear.
Format Highlights
- Expanded Canvas: Larger trim sizes showcase line work, inks, and coloring with enhanced detail and zero gutter compression.
- Archival Construction: Built with durable smythe-sewn bindings and premium paper stock designed to prevent yellowing over time.
- Vault Inspection & Transit Armor: Every volume, whether standalone Deluxe or rigid Slipcase, is inspected for corner integrity in our Lucca gallery, poly-sleeved, and shipped with high-density foam corner armor.
