About us
I built Brixen Vault to solve a very specific problem. As a collector of oversized graphic novels living in Europe, I was tired of two things: receiving heavy, expensive books with crushed corners due to careless packaging, and getting hit with unpredictable import tariffs on US editions.
Operating out of Lucca, Italy, a city with a deep comic heritage, Brixen Vault is simply the store I always wanted to buy from.
My background isn’t in traditional retail. In 2006, I founded Brixen Steel, where I sourced historically accurate weaponry and armor for museums, collectors, and martial artists who demanded absolute material authenticity. For the last 16 years, I’ve worked in the tech industry, building and scaling operations for companies like Google and Precis.
Brixen Vault combines those two halves of my career: a genuine appreciation for physical craftsmanship, and a borderline obsession with getting the operational details right.
Here is what you can expect when ordering from our studio:
-
Careful Inspection: We don’t just blindly move boxes. Every volume is checked for binding integrity, page quality, and corner condition before it goes into our inventory.
-
Zero-Crush Shipping: Heavy books require respect. We double-box and structurally pack every order so it arrives in the exact condition it left our desk.
-
No EU Customs Friction: Everything is dispatched directly from Lucca. The price you see at checkout is the final price, no surprise import fees or delays for European collectors.
-
In-House Display Hardware: Because standard bookends often fail these massive editions, we design and produce our own heavy-duty display stands in-house to properly support their weight and spines.
Whether it is a hand-forged steel sword or a DC Absolute Edition, I believe in things that are built to last. I have the pleasure of being your Curator I stand behind every beautiful book and package we send out.

Frank Miller
Honourable mention
vault favourite

Frank Miller helped redefine sequential storytelling in the early 1980s. His style, influenced by Will Eisner’s The Spirit, was new and exciting. One of his earliest issues featured the introduction of Elektra and was the first issue Miller wrote. This Artist’s Edition features pages from Miller’s earliest beginnings on Daredevil (issues 159, 163, 165), as well as the glory days when Miller began writing the character as well as drawing it, including #168 (the first appearance of the iconic Elektra), as well as his continuing run on issues 169, 171, 172, 174-181 (#181 being the oversized classic "Death of Elektra"), followed by pages from issues 184-191 ( Miller’s final issue). Issues 168 and 181 have many of the most important and compelling sequences in these truly classic and historically important stories. Frank Miller’s Daredevil not only ranks as one of the classic comics of its era, and is a precursor to Miller’s Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Batman: Year One, Ronin, and Sin City. Additionally, more than 20 covers, including 17 from Miller’s classic Daredevil run, are included in this volume
