Creator Dossier

Alejandro Jodorowsky
Alejandro Jodorowsky is a legendary Chilean-French filmmaker, comic book writer, and visionary creative force. He is universally recognized as one of the most eccentric and ambitious minds in science fiction and fantasy. Alongside his cult-classic avant-garde films like El Topo and The Holy Mountain, Jodorowsky is a foundational pillar of European comics. He co-created the seminal space opera The Incal with Mœbius, which spawned an expansive, interconnected comic universe known as the Jodoverse. Within this universe, Jodorowsky penned the brutal, multi-generational epic The Metabarons and its spin-off Weapons of the Metabaron, cementing his legacy as a master of sprawling, mystical sci-fi lore.

Travis Charest
Travis Charest is a highly acclaimed Canadian comic book artist and illustrator, globally celebrated for his incredibly meticulous, ultra-realistic visual style. Making his name in the 1990s on American mainstream titles like WildC.A.T.s, Charest developed a reputation for producing breathtakingly beautiful, highly rendered artwork. For Weapons of the Metabaron, Charest spent several years painstakingly illustrating the first half of the story, bringing an unprecedented level of cinematic realism, stunning light effects, and intricate texture to Alejandro Jodorowsky’s wildly imaginative universe.

Zoran Janjetov
Zoran Janjetov is a prominent Serbian comic book artist and a cornerstone illustrator of the Humanoids publishing catalog. He is best known for his long-standing creative partnership with writer Alejandro Jodorowsky. Janjetov was personally chosen by Mœbius to succeed him on the prequel series Before the Incal, skillfully honoring the legendary master’s aesthetic while bringing his own distinct, energetic flair to the Jodoverse. In Weapons of the Metabaron, Janjetov stepped in to illustrate the second half of the book, successfully carrying the brutal, high-stakes galactic epic to its conclusion.
